Batman, The Dark Knight

Me and my husband watched "Batman, The Dark Knight" last Saturday. My husband was very excited to see this movie as he likes Batman a lot. He actually bought our tickets in advance on Thursday. We went to the theater early at around nine o'clock. We were surprised to see a lot of people in the theater. My husband liked it but he liked the first one better (just like me). The movie has a lot plots-- which you have to really pay attention. It involves drama and action, of course. The near end was kinda complicated. I wish they didn't make it that way. But anyway, I would give two thumbs up for this movie and to Heath Ledger, in which he did a very good job in this movie.

Watch Bleach the movie

I love Japanese anime. In fact, we have some dvd collections of it here at home. I am curious to watch this upcoming movie, Bleach the Movie will be shown in the theaters today and June 12. The movie is about a young hero, Ichigo Kurosaki who protects every soul. The name means First Guardian or He who protects. Whenever I watch an animation, it feels like I am in the movie too or one of the characters. I would name myself as “Ayamesu”, means, “shining or light” so that I would be the guiding light for the heroes in the story. Wow, I thought about making my own anime story someday. For more information, visit Fathomevents.com and get your tickets at your favorite theaters.

Legendary Charlton Heston

You might be wondering why I posted this topic in my blog. Me and my husband watched one of our favorite movies called "Ben-Hur- A Tale of the Christ":. at home last Saturday night. I watched this movie almost 2 years ago when I got here since we have the dvd. My husband last night wanted to watch it again. I really love this movie and I was so excited about it. The movie talks about the Christianity. It was based on a novel, which was written 1880 by Lew Wallace.

When I read the news in the net today, I was surprised to see that the actor who played the role Ben-Hur, Charlton Heston died at 84 last Saturday night. Isn't it weird? He played as Moses, El Cid, John the Baptist, and many Christian movies. I do think he was a very good actor.

Resiklo (Recycle) movie

I was looking at the Manila film festival in the net and I came across with the list of the movies showing in the theaters in the Philippines for this holiday season. The movie that struck me most is Resiklo. They said it is “the most expensive movie of the year in the Philippines ever”. Resiklo means recycle. The story was about an alien invasion happens in 2021. The whole world was mostly destroyed. In the Philippines, survivors stayed in the place called " Paraiso". An ex-army colonel fights and defends against alien invaders "the Balangs" and the mutants called the "Mutanos". The ex-colonel and other survivors join forces and engineered recycled parts of machines and computers. The human spirit and courage reveal to fight against invaders that devastated the place they called home. This movie is from the same producer of the movie " Agimat and Exodus, from the same director of "Encantadia" and "Atlantika". It is under the IMUS Productions and Ignite Media. It is starring by Bong Revilla, Dingdong Dantes, Paolo Contes, Benjie Paras and Jennilyn Mercado.

I found this movie as an imitation of the movie "transformers" because of the presence of computer generated robots and is also trying to make it like star wars fighting against evil forces. I would say that the effects are definitely the best in the history of the Philippine movie industry. However, the 2021 setting is not futuristic enough. It wasn’t a very good concept. I do think Filipinos could enjoy mostly the visual effects of this entire movie. There are some scenes in the movie that seemed like a game station to me. But at least they are trying. I was having a hard time to give my opinion about this movie but as I watched the trailer over and over again, I started to like it. Even though, there is no originality of the story of this movie, but I can say the effects had really amazed me.

The Ratatouille Experience

Just the other day, my hubby bought my favorite cartoon movie of this year, Ratatouille. And guess what? My friend at work gave me a pin with Ratatouille on it. lol I got so excited. It is collectible. yepey! I watched this movie in the theater five months ago with my hubby. By the way, the word Ratatouille comes from the word "touiller" which means to toss food. It is a French word in which you pronounce it as, "ræta'tui,-'twi". The movie is awesome. It is a family animated movie made by Pixar. I recommended it to my friends. And whoever is reading this blog, well, go and get one. The movie was about a rat with a very good sense of smelling. He cooks and uses his nose to get the right taste. Sounds intriguing? Well, I don't really want to tell the whole story of this movie. But you can read this link from wikipedia. See it yourself and enjoy. You will not regret it.
