I love seafood since I was a kid. I don’t eat it every day but they are just so good. Most especially, Tilapia fish—I love it fried. I would season the fish with salt; garlic, onions and pepper, then fry it. And dip in sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce with vinegar and spices. Writing this post right now makes me hungry. I also love fish soup—flavored it with lemon grass, tomatoes, onions and napa cabbage. And of course, seasoned with salt and pepper. I just love cooking food. My husband tells me that I love discussing food and I am not even fat. Haha I thought it was funny how he said that. Talking about cooking, I found a site where all chefs compete each other in cooking seafood. It seems exciting to me. It will give us different ideas on how to cook fish in different ways. And whoever wins this contest will be crowned and honored the title of “King of American Seafood”. The site is called, greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com. They have been featuring Seafood Cook off since 5 years ago. Tickets price is $10 and available at the door. For more information, visit their site or you may click on the links.

Earthquake in Southern California
There was an earthquake yesterday here in San Diego, Ca. I felt the jolt while I was cleaning my nails on the bed. I thought I got dizzy but then I saw our door moving. And I screamed, “Earthquake! Earthquake!” I did not panic at all. I was very calm. I felt the shake lasted for 20 seconds. But it seemed like forever. I checked out the news after the incident—it said that the magnitude was 5.4. It only happened in Southern California (from Los Angeles to San Diego) and Nevada. I was glad to know that there were no casualties.

Mamma Mia!
We watched the movie "Mama Mia" yesterday at AMC Theater. The movie was ok. But I liked the songs a lot. It is based on a musical show in Vegas. It is starred by Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and some other stars. There was a lot of corny scenes in the movie which I thought-- was weird. It was all about "Abba" songs. Overall, the movie was OK and good for those audiences that like musical show.

Batman, The Dark Knight
Me and my husband watched "Batman, The Dark Knight" last Saturday. My husband was very excited to see this movie as he likes Batman a lot. He actually bought our tickets in advance on Thursday. We went to the theater early at around nine o'clock. We were surprised to see a lot of people in the theater. My husband liked it but he liked the first one better (just like me). The movie has a lot plots-- which you have to really pay attention. It involves drama and action, of course. The near end was kinda complicated. I wish they didn't make it that way. But anyway, I would give two thumbs up for this movie and to Heath Ledger, in which he did a very good job in this movie.

The World's oldest blogger
Olive Riley, Australian woman was renowned as the world's oldest blogger, died at the age of 108, with her last posting talking about her ailing health but also how she still sings a happy song every day. She began blogging in February last year and sharing stories from her life during the two world wars, raising three children on her own, and working as a station cook. The mentally alert Riley won an international audience with her blog, The Life of Riley (www.allaboutolive.com.au) and videos posted on YouTube with her talking and singing. She was said to be the world's oldest blogger as she was 12 years older than the previous titleholder, Spain's Maria Amelia. She was born in 1899 and would have turned 109 in October. Riley had posted more than 70 entries on her blog since February last year. In her last and 74th post (http://worldsoldestblogger.blogspot.com) on June 26, she spoke of moving into a nursing home and of her ill health. Wow, she was really into blogging. I was amazed by this old woman.

Basia
I really love Basia's songs. Since I was a kid like in my early teen years which was in late 80's and early 90's--- I've always been fascinated with the songs of Basia. The first song that caught my ears was "One Note Samba". Then followed by "Cruising for Bruising", "A new day for you", "Time and Tide", "Promises" and many others. I embedded a video from you tube here. Take a moment to listen and watch this video. Enjoy!
