Springtime Tips

Springtime is the season of allergies. Pollens are every where. If you are susceptible to allergies, then I have a few tips for you.

• Stay indoors on dry, windy days — the best time to go outside is after a good rain, which helps clear pollen from the air.
• No lawn mowing, weed pulling and other gardening chores
  
• Remove clothes you've worn outside. You may also want to shower to rinse pollen from your skin and hair.
• Ban your pets from your bed or couch.
• Don't hang laundry outside — pollen can stick to sheets and towels.
• If you do outside chores, wear a dust mask.
• Run the air conditioning in your house and car.
• Vacuum carpets weekly

giant beetle

A giant beetle was found in Pennsylvania Post Office. There were more than 2 dozens of giant beetles that were seized last Wednesday. One of them was as big as a child's hand. It was believed to come with the boxes sent from Taiwan that were labeled as toys, gifts, and jellies. The beetles were averaging from five to six inches in diameter. On the left side is the photo of the captured giant beetle. That was a huge. I would freak out if I'd see this bug.
