Dreaming of the Boardwalk Empire new season

I just can not stand to wait for the new season of Boardwalk Empire to finally come on. I caught a marathon sometime last year and Instead of taking it as a marathon I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to go ahead and just watch this new season like a regular person when it airs. Besides, we have he channels to wear we can do that before.

I guess that I have been a little manic about all of the watching I'm going to do of Boardwalk Empire, but regardless we've been getting our information out there regardless of who it's really going to. I've found most of the info with our wireless internet Philadelphia and I can't wait for even more of the spoilers to get leaked before the new season comes out.

I'm really curious to see if Bucky has the guts to go into a full-fledged gangster. Something tells me that's not going to happen and that it's going to cause even more headache for him and his people because of it.

Long weekend

I had a long weekend. I helped my husband cleared up and organized our shed. We also fixed our plumbing. I can say that it wasn't easy. We had to go under our house to do it. And the most fun about it was I learned to connect pipes with soldering iron. Good thing that my husband preferred to use SN100C, a lead-free solder alloy. How was your Halloween? To my surprise, not a single trick or treater knocked on our house. I had a big bowl of candies waiting for kids to come and say "trick or treat", but no one came over. I was excited for my little guy to give out some candies as it's his first Halloween. I guess, the kids probably nobody is at home. Porch light was on. They probably didn't get the hint. Anyhow, I told my stepson to share and give our candies to his friends. So, they had a candy party last weekend. It was fun watching them having fun.

Are you ready for Halloween? I don't really care for Halloween, it's no big deal to me. Back in the days in P.I. my family observe the "All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day". These are the days after Halloween. I didn't grow up participating on Halloween that much. I was wondering how Halloween got started. So, I researched on the net (Internet has become my library now!) and found out that Halloween originated back more than 2,000 years. The Europe's Celtic people celebrated their New Year's Day on November 1, called Samhain (SAH-win). The night before Samhain, people thought spirits, Fairies, demons, and other creatures were to walk the Earth as they traveled to the afterlife. They sacrificed animals to the gods by gathering around bonfires. And they wore animal skin costumes and wearing masks to confuse spirits, perhaps to avoid being possessed. Moreover, the Celts costumed as spirits are believed to have gone from house to house engaging in silly acts in exchange for food and drink, which is the "trick-or-treating" now.

Then, Samhain was later adopted by Catholic for pagan holidays. And In the seventh century Pope Boniface IV decreed November 1 All Saints' Day, or All Hallows' Day. The night before Samhain continued to be observed with bonfires, costumes, and parades, under a new name: All Hallows' Eve—later "Halloween."

These are my healthful tips for you, guys. I found this helpful. Here they are:

* Exercise regularly: some form of cardio at least three times a week! if you have a bike exercise at home, do that. You may jog. That is really good for circulation.
* Drink lots of water, it's mother nature's most versatile medicine. My husband taught about water therapy. Whenever I have headache, I just drink a lot of water. And I feel better. Water helps our circulate normally
* Get 6-9 hours of sleep daily. I really love that! haha I am a type of person that if I don't sleep enough, I get grumpy. I guess, that's one of the reasons why people get so sensitive and grumpy because of lack of sleep.
* Meditate- meditation is a good way to clean our minds and hearts. And as well as prayer.
* Buy locally grown, organic goods, preferably in season, as often as you can. Yes, as much as we can, we should get fruits and veggies that are locally grown or organic. They are usually expensive. But it's worth it.
* Nutritional supplements: whole food supplements, organic vitamins, Standard Process tablets, Alive! supplements, vitamin C

Been very busy

I am very busy today. It is not because tomorrow is the Valentine’s day. It is just that I have many pending opportunities and chores. Well, tomorrow is Valentine's day. So, what's your plan? I don't really know what to do tomorrow. But I have one idea on my mind. I am going to make dinner tomorrow. I was saddened by tragic news today. A Continental Connection Flight 3407 from Newark, N.J. airplane crashed in New York. I don’t like reading news everyday because all I see is just bad news. We hardly hear any good news. It only implies that the world is not perfect. Back to the news, the commuter plane killed fifty people. This is very disappointing. It dropped from the sky and crash on a suburban Buffalo house, which killed one person in the home. It was said that it was the country’s first deadly commuter plane crash in two years. According to the investigation, there was ice building up on airplane’s wings, which is the common cause of airplane crashes. This sudden incident is inevitable. Actually, I am very much happy with this theme, though, I still want to adjust some codes in this layout. By the way, I got it from btemplates.com. I am done with my shopping list for Christmas. I have listed down the items that I want purchase for my family. I am so glad that Sears is having a Layaway program for this holiday season. Morrison, Colorado - November 17, 2008: Red Rocks Data Center (RRDC), striving to become one of
the nation's "greenest" data centers, recently installed an environmentally responsible cooling system. They chose a Trane Voyager (http://trane.com) unit which incorporates an outdoor air economizer that uses free
mountain air to cool the data center.

Installation of this cutting edge cooling system has cut RRDC’s cooling costs to one-sixth that of their previous, conventional air conditioning system. “By cutting our consumption of green house gas emitting, coal-fired electricity, we have put our money where our mouth is in regards to becoming one of Colorado’s greenest data centers while passing the cost savings onto our customers”, remarked RRDC’s managing partner, Tom Nats. RRDC was recently awarded the Bronze level in the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s "Environmental Leadership Awards" for their energy efficiency. In addition, RRDC is working with the Colorado School of Mines to design a data center expansion area in the most environmentally-friendly means possible.

RRDC is hidden behind the "hog back" in Morrison, Colorado in a "frost hollow" that has abundant cool air. Housed in a former NASA satellite uplink facility, the center now draws cool, filtered mountain air into the building throughout the year, virtually eliminating the need for expensive air conditioning. Tom adds, “We will also be adding duct work to capture hot server air and use it to heat our office space during the winter months. Are you ready for holiday shopping? Or have you already started shopping? Christmas will be here before we know it. I am still working on my shopping list for Christmas since funds are not allowing me to shop yet. I am going to buy my husband a designer shirt and warm outwear for Christmas - I bet, my husband will be surprised. However, I was glad to find out that Kmart offers layaway plan which I can pay for those items over 8 weeks time. I actually looked up their site today. In Layaway program, I just have to choose items, bring them to the Layaway counter and make a down payment. The payments are every two weeks. And after I’m done with payments, I can bring home the items. This is a good route to go since I don’t have enough funds yet for the coming holidays. However, I don’t want to use my credit card because I want to avoid interest. Last year, I spent more than I wanted because I waited until the store got so busy and I did not have time to meticulously choose what I wanted. And plus, the cheaper items were already gone. Christmas is weeks from now. I still have time avail of Kmart Layaway program. I would say this is a practical way for holiday shopping.

Hi everyone! I am back from vacation. We went to Oregon to visit my husband's family and friends. It was very nice there. The climate was cooler than I thought. I guess, I underestimated the weather forecast. We had a lot of fun. I took some pictures in which I'll post them later. We drove from San Diego to Oregon. It was great road trip. It was raining on the way there. I got scared while driving through the mountain range. We actually went to Boring, Oregon. It was not boring at all! Anyhoo, I really liked it there. The place is really green. We'd like to get a place there someday. I think I'd prefer to live in a cool place or I don't know. I've never tried it before. Ok, enough of blah, blah. My husband asked me if I want to watch "The Third Day" and other Christian bands concert tomorrow at Cricket Amphitheater in Chula Vista. I was in the state of confusion when he asked me about it. But I frankly told him that I am not going to watch because we have to finish off our filing and some other things. And I don't want to sleep late on Saturday night. The Jars of Clay will be there in the concert too (that is from what I heard). I like their song called "Flood". I am not really into watching concert right at this time. We just watched Maroon 5 concert about 3 weeks ago. And I didn't seem to enjoy. I told my husband if Newsboys will have a concert in the future, I'd love to see them. Maybe the Journey... I am excited about our trip to Oregon next week. We will be taking the road and it takes 18 hours to get there. It will be my longest trip ever! We are going to stay there for a week. Are you calorie-conscious? There are ways to reduce calories. I am not conscious of calories as I am not big. I tiny bulges in my abdomen; I just have to exercise so I can get rid of them. haha Anyway, as I said, there are ways to reduce calories in our diet. Take these steps to losing weight. First, include more vegetables in your diet. I really love vegetables and they more tasty than meat. Vegetables can be boring sometimes but you'll get used to it. When you eat more raw vegetables, the fewer calories you'll get. Second, avoid snacks in between meals, especially junk foods. When you eat junk foods be sure to read the Nutritional facts-- avoid high saturated fats, sodium and cholesterol. Those are bad for you. It is funny how my husband always says that those are "junk, crap and garbage". Third, dairy products-- always look for low fat and non-fat ones and as much as possible, get the organic kind. I love seafood since I was a kid. I don’t eat it every day but they are just so good. Most especially, Tilapia fish—I love it fried. I would season the fish with salt; garlic, onions and pepper, then fry it. And dip in sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce with vinegar and spices. Writing this post right now makes me hungry. I also love fish soup—flavored it with lemon grass, tomatoes, onions and napa cabbage. And of course, seasoned with salt and pepper. I just love cooking food. Earthquake in Southern California

There was an earthquake yesterday here in San Diego, Ca. I felt the jolt while I was cleaning my nails on the bed. I thought I got dizzy but then I saw our door moving. And I screamed, “Earthquake! Earthquake!” I did not panic at all. I was very calm. I felt the shake lasted for 20 seconds. But it seemed like forever. I checked out the news after the incident—it said that the magnitude was 5.4. It only happened in Southern California (from Los Angeles to San Diego) and Nevada. I was glad to know that there were no casualties.

We watched the movie "Mama Mia" yesterday at AMC Theater. The movie was ok. But I liked the songs a lot. It is based on a musical show in Vegas. Me and my husband watched "Batman, The Dark Knight" last Saturday. My husband was very excited to see this movie as he likes Batman a lot. He actually bought our tickets in advance on Thursday. We went to the theater early at around nine o'clock. We were surprised to see a lot of people in the theater. My husband liked it but he liked the first one better (just like me). The movie has a lot plots-- which you have to really pay attention. It involves drama and action, of course. The near end was kinda complicated. I wish they didn't make it that way. But anyway, I would give two thumbs up for this movie and to Heath Ledger, in which he did a very good job in this movie.
